Gospel Mission Church

The inaugural group of participants successfully completed Module 1 of the Bible School in a Backpack (BSIB) program in Namibia. This training, held at the Gospel Mission Church during April and May 2024, was led by Rev. Pooshani and attended by approximately 30 enthusiastic participants. The church’s leadership deserves special recognition for embracing the BSIB material to train their congregation.

Photos from the training sessions vividly capture the participants’ profound eagerness to deepen their biblical knowledge. Their attentive engagement highlights their strong desire to understand the Word of God. Praise God for this remarkable dedication.

I pray that God’s Word will deeply minister to their hearts, leading to more than just intellectual understanding but also a profound transformation inspired by the Holy Spirit. May they come to know God’s will, develop a closer relationship with Him, and experience a lasting spiritual refreshment and renewal.

Emmanual Church, Swakopmund

In the same month, another BSIB class had carried out at Emmanuel Church in Swakopmund, which around 28 people participated in the class. Rev. Pooshani led the BSIB training, guiding the participants through fundamental teachings of the Bible. The curriculum focused on essential principles, including the assurance of salvation and the importance of adhering to the commands of Jesus. These foundational elements aimed to equip attendees with the knowledge and confidence to further their spiritual journeys and contribute positively to their communities.

Upon completing the module, participants were awarded certificates of completion, symbolizing their commitment and newfound understanding of biblical teachings. The event marked the beginning of a more profound engagement with their faith.

The success of this first module is a promising start for the BSIB program in Namibia, setting a precedent for future training sessions and expanding the reach of biblical education within the community.
