Praise the Lord for opening ways for Pastor Pooshani to begin ministry work in Namibia, another mission field following Uganda. On April 4th, 2024, our ICM Coordinator, Pastor Pooshani, safely arrived in Namibia, a country located in southwest Africa known for its beautiful deserts and mountains. With a population of about 2.5 million people, Namibia is home to diverse ethnic groups such as the Ovambo, Herero, Damara, and San peoples, contributing to a rich cultural setting with vibrant music and dance. While many Namibians are Christians, some still follow traditional beliefs. Known for their friendliness and willingness to help each other, Namibia also faces challenges with poverty, particularly in certain areas where efforts are underway to improve living conditions. It’s a wonderful destination to explore nature and experience different cultures.

Upon settling in, Pastor Pooshani wasted no time and immediately began her ministry work by meeting with Pastor Daniel and Henno of Emmanuel Church in Swakopmund. They engaged in fruitful discussions about ministry plans, exchanging insights and experiences, including the impactful work of ICM. It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm for the training and outreach programs with ICM. Praise God for their partnership and dedication to spreading His love!

Pastor Pooshani also participated one of the key project, Soup Kitchen – An evangelism and discipleship through feeding the poor in the community.

Pastor Pooshani had a meaningful time participating in the Hospital ministry at State Hospital in Swakopmund, along with 8 dedicated volunteers. Together, they prayed for the sick, showing love and care to those in need, while also sharing the gospel message. We rejoice in God’s work, as 5 individuals accepted Christ during this ministry outreach. Praise God for His faithfulness and the impact of His love!
