From April 1st to April 7th, 2024, a delegation of esteemed pastors embarked on a remarkable journey to Pakistan. This trip was meticulously planned by Bishop Pervaiz, the ICM Pakistan Coordinator. Led by Pastor Derwin, our ICM International Coordinator, the team comprised of Pastor Jason, Pastor Sunita, and Brother Alvin. They were welcomed with open arms by the gracious hospitality of the ICM Pakistan Team, with local guidance spearheaded by Professor Imtiaz. The trip was meticulously planned to fulfill a noble purpose: attending graduation ceremonies and extending support to trainers and students who participated in the BSIB Training Program.

The journey commenced with a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Islamabad on April 1st. The delegates were greeted warmly by the organizing committee upon their arrival. The itinerary unfolded with visits to various districts of Pakistan, each marked by graduation ceremonies where the pastors offered encouragement and prayers to the graduating students:

  • April 2nd, 2024: Azad Kashmir (about 120 KM from Islamabad)
  • April 3rd, 2024: Peshawar (about 188 km from Islamabad)
  • April 4th, 2024: Taxila (about 50 km from Islamabad)
  • April 5th, 2024: Faisalabad (about 400 km from Islamabad)
  • April 6th, 2024: Lahore (about 190 km from Faisalabad)
  • April 7th, 2024: Rawalpindi (about 400 km from Lahore)

After the final leg of their journey in Rawalpindi, the delegates returned to Kuala Lumpur.

Despite the back-to-back schedule, the delegates managed to explore some of Pakistan’s cultural and historical treasures. They visited iconic landmarks such as Mangal Fort, Peshawar Museum, Lahore Museum, and Shalimar Garden. They also seized the opportunity to meet with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the One-Man Commission, further enriching their understanding of Pakistan’s socio-political landscape.

Throughout their journey, the delegates were deeply moved by the warmth and affection they received from the Pakistani team. Everywhere they went, they were greeted with flower garlands and the highest reception for guests. Their interactions with students revealed a profound love for God and an unwavering desire to serve Him.

As they reflect on their journey, the delegates are filled with gratitude for the meaningful connections forged and the invaluable experiences gained. They continue to pray for God’s blessings upon the nation of Pakistan, believing that their trip has sown seeds of hope and transformation.
