Every Wednesday, Pastor Pooshani from ICM Namibia leads a dedicated hospital ministry at the State Hospital in Swakopmund. Alongside her, a compassionate team including Sister Dora and Sister Wally faithfully ministers to the patients, showing them care, love, and the Word of God. Through heartfelt prayers and intercession, they bring comfort and hope to those in need, embodying the biblical command to “love your neighbor as yourself.”
As we step into September 2024, ICM Ministry of Soup Kitchen is making a profound impact in the DRC community of Swakopmund, Namibia. Pastor Pooshani, alongside the founders of Mama Ana’s Soup Kitchen and Belinda’s Soup Kitchen, is leading a remarkable mission to serve 250 children. These children, many from broken homes or impoverished backgrounds, lack essential nutrition and care. Through the love of Christ and a warm meal, they are not only receiving physical nourishment but also spiritual guidance and hope for the future.
The first group of participants successfully completed Module 1 of the BSIB (Bible School in a Backpack) program in Namibia. The training was conducted at the Gospel Missions Church in the month of May 2024, it was led by Rev Pooshani with approximately 24 participants.
In the heart of Namibia, amidst the dusty streets and humble dwellings, lies a beacon of light: Ann’s Angel Soup Kitchen. Founded and operated by the compassionate Ann and her husband, this kitchen serves as more than just a place to satisfy hunger; it stands as a symbol of hope and spiritual nourishment for the impoverished and marginalized community it serves.
Praise the Lord for opening ways for Pastor Pooshani to begin ministry work in Namibia, another mission field following Uganda. On April 4th, 2024, our ICM Coordinator, Pastor Pooshani, safely arrived in Namibia, a country located in southwest Africa known for its beautiful deserts and mountains.
