Doors of opportunities opened in Hardap Region, South Namibia
ICM Namibia Ministry Update
Rehoboth, Hardap Region
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” – Psalm 126:3
We praise God for the wonderful opportunities He has opened for the ministry in Rehoboth, located in Namibia’s Hardap Region. The mission, led by Rev. Gunapooshani, has been reaching families living in extreme poverty on the outskirts of the town, many live in makeshift shacks with limited access to basic needs. Despite their hardship, hearts are open, and God’s presence is transforming lives.

The ministry team has been going from house to house, visiting families, praying with them, and sharing the Gospel message. Many residents, weary from life’s struggles, have welcomed the team with tears and gratitude. Through these personal encounters, lives are being touched and souls are coming to Christ. It is truly moving to see how the Word of God brings light into homes once filled with despair.
A vibrant children’s outreach has begun, bringing joy and hope to young hearts. Through songs, Bible stories, games, and prayer, the children are learning about the love of Jesus. Many of these children come from difficult family situations some are neglected or abused but through the ministry’s care, they are discovering their worth and finding comfort in God’s love. Each smile is a testimony of the Holy Spirit’s gentle work in their lives.

A Testimony of Hope – Sister Angela’s Story
One of the most touching stories from the field is that of Sister Angela, a mother of four whose husband, struggling with alcoholism, abandoned the family, leaving them with nothing not even basic cooking utensils. Despite her hardship, Sister Angela remained steadfast in faith. With the support and encouragement of Sister Julia, she persevered through this difficult season.
Recently, the Holy Spirit placed a burden on Sister Angela’s heart to begin feeding the hungry children in her neighborhood. Many of these children suffer neglect as their parents spend their earnings on alcohol, leaving them hungry and hopeless. Some have endured trauma from abuse and violence at home. Moved by compassion, Sister Angela began cooking simple meals and sharing them with the children, telling them about Jesus and His love for them.
Through her obedience and compassion, these innocent children lives are being changed learning about the Savior who cares for them.

The ministry team also visits the local hospital, bringing encouragement, prayer, and comfort to the sick and suffering. Many have received the Lord Jesus as their Savior during these visits. The atmosphere of faith and compassion has brought new hope to those who once felt forgotten.

Ministry to Seniors
At the Rehoboth Senior Home, Rev. Gunapooshani and her team have been ministering to the elderly sharing the Word, praying with them, and providing food and essential supplies. Many of these seniors live alone and rarely receive visitors, so this outreach has brought deep joy and comfort to their hearts. They are reminded that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten by God.

Prison Ministry – New Open Door!
We rejoice in a significant breakthrough, official approval has been granted for prison ministry! This is a great answer to prayer. Rev. Gunapooshani and her team will now be able to minister to inmates, sharing the message of forgiveness, hope, and restoration. We believe this new outreach will bring transformation behind prison walls as the light of the Gospel penetrates even the darkest places.

We thank God for every open heart and for the continued favor over this ministry. Each visit, prayer, and meal shared is a seed of love that will bear eternal fruit. The work in Rehoboth is growing, and we believe the Lord will continue to expand the reach of His Gospel across Namibia.
Let us continue to pray for Rev. Gunapooshani and the ICM Namibia team as they labor faithfully in the harvest field bringing light, healing, and hope to the people of the Hardap Region.
To God be all the glory!
