Christmas is a season of joy, celebration, and togetherness, marked by lights, gifts, and the warmth of loved ones. Amidst these festivities, it is vital to reflect on the profound truth at the heart of this season: the birth of Jesus Christ, a divine expression of God’s boundless love and grace.
The ICM Indonesia Conference 2024, organized by ICM Indonesia under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Pakpahan, the ICM Indonesia Coordinator, was successfully held from October 28-31, 2024. The event took place at the serene GBKP Retreat Center and brought together participants, teachers, and alumni united in the shared vision of fulfilling God’s Great Commission.
Over 13 days, spanning 5 flights and 4 cities, we had the incredible opportunity to preach and teach the Word of God to more than 100 pastors, church leaders, and church planters across Vietnam. God’s hand was powerfully evident, raising up laborers for His Kingdom in this nation, despite the stringent restrictions and persecutions.
The Pygmies of Congo are among the most marginalized and underserved people in the world. Known for their deep connection to the forest, they have lived for centuries in the dense jungles of Central Africa. However, in recent times, many Pygmies face extreme poverty, a lack of education, and limited access to basic necessities. Their lives are often marked by hardship, as they remain largely overlooked by broader society and deprived of opportunities to thrive.
Deep in the highlands of Borneo, there are villages like Long Lellang and Kampung Pengaran Imman, where spreading the gospel can be difficult because they are so far away from towns. These villages are home to the Kelabit and Penan tribes, who live surrounded by dense forests and rivers. While many of the people are Christians, reaching them to teach the Bible is a challenge due to the rough and remote landscape.

As we step into September 2024, ICM Ministry of Soup Kitchen is making a profound impact in the DRC community of Swakopmund, Namibia. Pastor Pooshani, alongside the founders of Mama Ana’s Soup Kitchen and Belinda’s Soup Kitchen, is leading a remarkable mission to serve 250 children. These children, many from broken homes or impoverished backgrounds, lack essential nutrition and care. Through the love of Christ and a warm meal, they are not only receiving physical nourishment but also spiritual guidance and hope for the future.
The Orang Asli Conference (OA Conference) took place from August 20 to 22, 2024, at the Chefoo Centre in Cameron Highlands. Organized biennially, this year’s event was Hati Bapa 3.0 (Father’s Heart 3.0), the theme inspired by Romans 8:37 : “Lebih Dari Pemenang – More than Conquerors.” It brought together over 110 participants from 16 tribal villages, including 20 plus Orang Asli pastors, with the aim of spiritual empowerment, revival, refreshment, and unity.
Praise the Lord, from August 11-18, 2024, Vietnam witnessed a significant gathering of pastors and church leaders from various denominations. The ICM Vietnam Leadership Conference, held in Ho Chi Minh City and Mu Nei, was a time of learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Spearheaded by Rev. David Khiem, ICM’s dedicated regional coordinator for Vietnam, this event marked a crucial step in equipping leaders with the tools and the Word to fulfill God’s Great Commission.
On the evening of July 24, 2024, the ICMM SIB Bandaraya, Kota Kinabalu, held a discipleship class in the SIBBKK Youth Room. This session, part of the ongoing Module 1 training guide for new souls, focused on the vital topic of fellowship. Pastor Georgemoll Rungkas led the class, imparting wisdom and insights on the importance of fellowship within the Christian community.
From June 26 to 28, 2024, the International Christian Mission (ICM) hosted a transformative event at the Molave Hotel in Tagum City, Philippines. This gathering brought together 65 dedicated church planters for the ICM Mission Leadership Strategic Conference.
