Youth Camp @ District of Telupid, Sabah

Amidst the joyous celebrations of Chinese New Year, a unique gathering unfolds where a group of youth, instead of indulging in extended CNY holiday festivities, choose to come together to deepen their understanding of God and draw inspiration from His love. Thank you God for Pastor Derwin Philip, the ICM International Coordinator, willingly by forgoing his personal leisure to devote himself in building the Kingdom of God. His dedication extends to help approximately 100 students from various parts of Sabah in grasping the essence of God’s love and His profound commission. This group of teenagers convenes at SIB Simpang Entilibon from February 8th to 10th, 2024, for the Youth Camp themed “Yesus Tuhanku!” (Jesus, my God!).

Over three days and two nights, participants stayed in one location, immersing themselves in the study of God’s Word. They are guided by insightful speakers, Pastor Derwin Philip, who travels from Kuala Lumpur to impart wisdom and inspiration. Through engaging various activities and speeches, attendees absorb the importance of Scripture, embrace the value of teamwork, confront their weaknesses and fears, seek repentance, and find spiritual renewal. This transformative journey leads to a deepening love for God and a fervent desire to serve Him faithfully. Participants also gain insight into righteous living, discern God’s will, and commit their talents to His service.

Praise God for personal encounters with God abound, a wave of transformation sweeps through the youth, encounters with the Holy Spirit and a rededication of their lives to Jesus. Thank you Jesus for the camp as they embark on a renewed journey of faith, equipped with newfound zeal and spiritual vigor.
