ICM Indonesia Conference 2024: “Hati Bapa – Heart of the Father”

The ICM Indonesia Conference 2024, organized by ICM Indonesia under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Pakpahan, the ICM Indonesia Coordinator, was successfully held from October 28-31, 2024. The event took place at the serene GBKP Retreat Center and brought together participants, teachers, and alumni united in the shared vision of fulfilling God’s Great Commission.

A Heart for the Lost: A Conference with Purpose

With the theme “The Heart of the Father to the Lost,” the conference sought to inspire and reignite the passion of attendees to actively engage in the Great Commission, which stands at the core of ICM’s vision. The theme reflected God’s enduring love for humanity and emphasized the necessity of discipleship and evangelism, key pillars of the ICM International mission.

The event saw the participation of 53 individuals, including BSIB students, alumni, ICM teachers, and servants of God. It provided a platform for spiritual growth, leadership development, and fellowship, uniting attendees in their mission to serve with a renewed sense of purpose.

Inspirational Sessions from Esteemed Speakers

The conference featured a distinguished lineup of speakers:

• Ps. Derwin Philip, ICM International Coordinator, opened the sessions with an impactful message on embodying the Father’s Heart. His teachings reinforced ICM’s vision and mission, empowering participants to deepen their commitment to discipleship.
• Ps. Dr. Robert Benedectus of GBI Rumah Persembahan delivered an enlightening session on leadership. He emphasized the importance of being “Leaders Who Pray” and modeled Christ-like leadership, providing practical and spiritual insights for effective ministry.
• Ps. Dr. Boimin Sirait of GSJA Simalingkar presented strategic principles for church planting, encouraging dynamic pioneering with biblically grounded and actionable strategies.
• Ps. Petrus Marpaung of GPDI Petra, alongside Ps. Samuel, facilitated discussions on the main points of the conference, driving focus on actionable strategies and fostering collaboration among attendees.

Strengthening the Vision for the Future

In the final session, Ps. Samuel and Ps. Petrus Marpaung led a review of the conference’s insights and laid the groundwork for future initiatives. Discussions centered on involving more alumni in ICM programs, expanding the reach of BSIB, and strategizing for greater impact across Indonesia.

The conference was a testament to God’s faithfulness and favor. The ICM Indonesia team expressed heartfelt gratitude to ICM International (Malaysia) for sponsoring the event and to all speakers and participants for their contributions.
