Myanmar Mission Update – March 2026

Recently, President Edwin Marsden attended the graduation ceremony of BSIB students in Myanmar on 7 March 2026. It was an encouraging moment to witness 28 graduates stepping forward in faith. These men and women are committed to serving God, some within their local churches, while others will return to their villages to pioneer new ministries.

We thank God that eight churches have already begun implementing ICM Discipleship programs, with many more expressing interest. It is truly inspiring to see individuals availing themselves to be discipled for the end-time harvest.

On Sunday, Bro. Edwin ministered at Yangon Victory Christian Church, where many responded to the altar call. Later that same day, he ministered in another church, continuing to share the Gospel and encourage believers.

Village Ministry Visits – 9 March 2026

On Monday, Bro. Edwin visited three village churches established by students of Victory Bible College and ICM Myanmar. After completing their three-year training, students are sent out equipped with ICM discipleship materials. Many return to their villages, starting kindergartens to teach children, building relationships with families, and eventually planting house churches.

  • Ta Gwen Deng Village
Pastor Ro Binin began his ministry in late 2024 in a village where there were previously no believers. Today, the work has grown to six families and about 20 children. The church currently meets in a small shack beside a dump site, which he rents. The church is steadily growing, and Pastor Ro Binin’s desire is to purchase a small piece of land to establish a permanent place of worship so that the congregation will no longer need to move from place to place.
  • Thaya Gone Village
Pastor Pai Dautat began ministry in this place in 2023. He rears pigs and sell them to support his ministry while faithfully shepherding his congregation. He has also introduced ICM discipleship classes to equip believers to bear fruit for God’s glory. Many in this village come from different faith backgrounds.
  • Wa Net Gone Village
Miss Thein Thein started her ministry on 3 November 2024 in a village with no believers. She began by teaching children, and now many attend regularly. Praise God. Some parents have also started joining the services, marking the beginning of a growing community of faith.

Additionally, Sister Thein Thein and Sister Wai Wai Nu, both ICM Myanmar graduates faithfully go from house to house (door to door evangelism), praying for people and ministering with great dedication.

Continued Outreach – 10 March 2026

On 10 March, Bro. Edwin visited Pastor Htet Kyan Lin in Kyat Pyu Kaan village, where a church was started just nine months ago. The congregation meets twice weekly, with around 20 attendees. Alongside this, they are teaching 21 students, including English classes, as part of their outreach to the community.

A Call to Prayer

It is deeply inspiring to witness these humble pastors and workers serving with such passion despite limited resources. Their love for the lost compels them to sacrifice joyfully and persevere.

As Jesus reminds us, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” We thank God that ICM Myanmar is partnering with churches to raise, equip, and send workers into the harvest field. Currently, nine churches are actively discipling their members and sending them out to share the Gospel of hope.

Yet, many villages remain unreached. The need for more workers is urgent. Let us continue to pray and support this mission while it is still day for soon night is coming and we will not be able to work.

Thank you for your prayers and partnership in the Gospel.
